CLAP HAND

An exercise that can be used in various ways and with many different meanings. Its principal function is, however, to raise the energy level of the group.


Key words - Opening up and warm up exercise.

Purpose - Increasing the energy and cohesion of the group.

Description - Participants are in a circle. The trainer kick starts the game sending a signal that is a hand clap (slapping the right hand onto the left one) to another participant. The signal is repeated by the participant in the direction of the trainer and immediately after sent to another participant who repeats it and sends it to another and so on.

Duration - A minimum of 5 minutes to a maximum of 10.

Variations - the exercise can be varied by simultaneously adding a vocal sound to the hand clap (a noise like the click of the tongue, a whistle, etc.) and the general dynamic is not silent.
